興台計畫
行政院農業部農業試驗所從事農藝及園藝作物相關的試驗工作，包括品種改良、栽培技術改進、植物生理及遺傳工程生物技術研究、種原收集交換、土壤肥料及植物營養研究、病蟲害防治及農業機械之開發、農業經濟及農業推廣等等試驗研究工作，為全國極重要之熱帶亞熱帶農學研究重單位。本校為了加強暨整合本校與農業試驗所在農業生物科技之研發能量，95年5月通過與農業試驗所學術合作研究計畫（簡稱興台計畫），每年雙方各提撥對等研究經費，公開徵求雙邊合作計畫，每個計畫均由農業試驗所研究人員及中興大學教師共同主持，並舉辦研究計畫成果發表會。十餘年來雙方參與人數已達百餘人次，除了引領雙方人員密切瞭解與合作外，進而共同發表學術成果及技術分享應用，提升我國農業生物技術整體研究水平。
