The major professional expertise of Dr. Hsiao is the molecular endocrinology and tumor biology with a special focus on epigenetic regulatory mechanisms and noncoding RNAs. The major directions of his research currently focus on the characterization of biological functions, pathological roles of circular RNAs, and the mechanisms underlying the regulation of circRNA expression using integrated analyses of bioinformatics, proteomics, molecular biology, clinical profiles and animal experiments in the models of endocrine-related diseases and colorectal cancer.
