Profile
I am an epidemiologist and currently serve as an Assistant Professor at the Graduate Institute of Food Safety, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, National Chung Hsing University. I teach courses regarding epidemiology and biostatistics in the Department of Food Science and Biotechnology, the Graduate Institute of Food Safety, the School of Post-Baccalaureate Medicine, and the Graduate Institute of Clinical Nursing.
My research focuses on secondary data analysis using large-scale health databases. Recent topics include associations between phthalate exposure and health outcomes; dietary patterns and chronic inflammatory diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and chronic kidney disease; and consumer dietary and purchasing behaviors, with a particular focus on food labeling for packaged products.
Before joining National Chung Hsing University, I worked for many years in the statistical consulting unit of the research department at a medical center, where I collaborated extensively with clinicians across specialties. I have experience in clinical study design, clinical trials, biostatistical analysis, and questionnaire-based research, and I welcome opportunities to support collaborative research in these areas.
Researchers interested in collaboration or discussion on related topics are very welcome to contact me.
