Our research aims to explore the complex interactions between viruses and their hosts. As viruses rely on host cells to proliferate, they use cellular machinery and resources to facilitate their replication and evade immune responses. The host's metabolic state and protein expression profile are crucial in determining which tissues the virus can infect and how susceptible the host is to the infection. By analyzing these factors, we aim to obtain a better understanding of viral infections in the context of cell and molecular biology and develop novel antiviral strategies. We primarily focus on
1. Regulation of the viral life cycle
2. Determinants of viral pathogenesis
3. Murine models of viral diseases
